The MSc Veterinary Epidemiology has been awarded two scholarships

Commonwealth Masters Scholarships are for candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries in full-time Masters study. The scholarships cover travel to and from the UK, tuition fees and living allowance.

They are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK, and enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills so vital to contribute to long term sustainable development in their home countries.

We encourage outstanding students from Commonwealth countries interested in an MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology from the RVC to apply immediately. For full eligibility details on these scholarships, please visit the  Applications must be submitted to the RVC by 16th of April 2018.

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship scheme is highly competitive among universities. It is an honour for the RVC to be allocated these two scholarships, and is a significant endorsement of the MSc Veterinary Epidemiology course. This required the RVC to successfully provide a strong argument for the course’s direct and applied relevance to development, since scholarships are only offered under six themes, including: science and technology for development; strengthening health systems and capacity; strengthening resilience; and response to crises.

Julian Drewe, MSc Vet Epi co-course director, said: “To have two such scholarships allocated to one course is testament to the very high regard in which the MSc Veterinary Epidemiology course is valued internationally. “We are delighted to be able to welcome two outstanding students from the Commonwealth to fill these scholarship places.”
