Environmental officers Dylan Yaffy and president elect Gorprit Singh, secured our ‘good’ NUS Green Impact Award
Awards- the People award and Officer Team of the Year award.
The cherry on the cake for us was being awarded the Alan Betts prize at Graduation for service to the College community. (I am pictured with the award at the foot of this page)
I would like to thank the College and recognise all the SU officers, staff members and volunteers of not just this year but past years who have worked so hard to make RVC a great place to study and live as a student.
I loved every part of my time on the SU and only hope I have managed to give back to this community even a small part of what it has given me.
Gorprit Singh
(current SU President):
It’s an incredible feeling to being voted in as SU President. It means I can give back to the RVC community that has
made me feel so welcome from the start. I’m incredibly excited to carry on the
work that began under our previous SU President- Christina. My main manifesto aim for my year in office is to make the SU more transparent than ever before. This will not only improve on SU accountability towards the student body, but also ensures that students are increasingly aware of our achievements. The SU does an astounding amount of work when you consider that all SU Officers are full-time students at the same time, and I want to make sure that everyone gets to join in celebrating our achievements!
Tell us about your time as an SU Council member, have you been an SU President, Vice-President or Officer? What do you remember about your time in office and what were you most proud of?
Email development@rvc.ac.uk and tell us your story!
