This group has refined and developed the Lanyon bone loading model to enable joints to be similarly exposed to increased strain and thus mimic the wear and tear of over-use.
At the forefront of one biology due to the combination of molecular and cell biology, study cross-talk between skeletal tissues (bone, vasculature and cartilage), analysis of histomorphometry and microCT data This is combined with in vivo measurements of strain and function (gait analysis).
